Teen angst monologue Essay I dont get it, why is it when you become a teenager everything gets so complicated and baffling? I mean, why are we supposed to know how to wear make up, get on diets, wear tight clothing, control our calorie intake and the list goes on and on and on. Is there some unwritten law that when you become a teenager you move into the realm of insanity? Well its as if Im on one crazy roller coaster ride thats taking forever to end. Think about it Youre supposed to party in order to be cool, listen to songs with lyrics filled with one word repeated over and over again like the baby baby baby song and whats with Kesha, no one wakes up in the morning and feel like p diddy and you definitely dont brush your teeth with some jack daniels. Hold on, jack daniels is a person right? Huh? (break) Hang on let me google it. Oh jack daniels is brand of some hard liquor. How can you feel like a g6? Ugh and things dont stop there, Im supposed to wash my face BEFORE I exercise to prevent build-up. No, Im supposed to wash my face AFTER I exercise to prevent break-outs. Im NOT SUPPOSED to eat chocolate because it causes pimples. Wait, Im SUPPOSED to eat chocolate before I take a test, because its great, brain food. Scratch that, I guess dark chocolate is an exception. Then again, Im SUPPOSED to have lots of foods hat are rich in iron to help my circulation. Hold on, now, Im NOT SUPPOSED to have a lot of iron because it prevents my body from absorbing calcium properly. When Im at school I feel like Im in dire need of more vacations but by the time the school gives out one long summer vacation it feels like I cant wait to get back to school even with the reason of only wanting to go meet my friends. I love my parents but there are times when I just want to avoid them and lock myself inside my room for days. The dillemas that I face on a daily basis like what outfits to wear, yesterday it looked as if my closet was filled with clothes but today when I tried to find the right outfit, my closet looked empty! There was that one quote that says the hardest part about being a teenager is dealing with other teenagers the criticism and the ridicule, the gossip and rumors. That quote is so true because backstabbers are everywhere but if there werent any backstabbers then I wouldnt know who my real friends are. And real friends are really hard to find, its like a finding a needle inside a haystack. Boys boys boys, what else is there to say? Phewww how did we all deal with heartaches and heartbreaks? People avoid you for being too innocent and so that means theyre more attracted to dirtiness? Ew why is the world so upside down? Wow, if I can survive being a confused teenager I think I can pretty much survive anything!

A Brief History of Baseball: Part I: Origins of the Game Unlike professional basketball and football, interest in baseball has not been sweeping the globe . Declining participation at the amateur level and protracted labor problems at the professional level have thrust "America's Pastime" into an era of uncertainty. Despite this current adversity, baseball will always occupy an important place in American culture. This column starts a three part look at the history of baseball. Most cultures have some sort of stick and ball game, cricket being the most well-known. While the exact origins of baseball are unknown, most historians agree that it is based on the English game of rounders. It began to become quote popular in this country in the early 19th century, and many sources report the growing popularity of a game called "townball", "base", or "baseball". Throughout the early part of that century, small towns formed teams, and baseball clubs were formed in larger cities. In 1845, Alexander Cartwright wanted to formalize a list of rules by which all team could play. Much of that original code is still in place today. Although popular legend says that the game was invented by Abner Doubleday, baseball's true father was Cartwright. The first recorded baseball contest took place a year later, in 1846. Cartwright's Knickerbockers lost to the New York Baseball Club in a game at the Elysian Fields, in Hoboken, New Jersey. These amateur games became more frequent and more popular. In 1857, a convention of amateur teams was called to discuss rules and other issues. Twenty five teams from the northeast sent delegates. The following year, they formed the National Association of Base Ball Players, the first organized baseball league. In its first year of operation, the league supported itself by occasionally charging fans for admission. The future looked very bright. The early 1860s, however were a time of great turmoil in the United States. In those years of the Civil War, the number of baseball clubs dropped dramatically. But interest in baseball was carried to other parts of the country by Union soldiers, and when the war ended there were more people playing baseball than ever before. The league’s annual convention in 1868 drew delegates from over 100 clubs. As the league grew, so did the expenses of playing. Charging admission to games started to become more common, and teams often had to seek out donations or sponsors to make trips.

What I learned from this activity was that the when communicating to someone the process is not as easy as it looks when relaying the message to a received correctly.My position was to stop and ask the coworker to just regroup to have meeting which allowed me to tell him to correct any problems or issue that he can make when inspecting the lacks as this is critical to an aircraft can cause a major problems. It also give me understanding that when you give directions as to what and how something works you need to send a message clearly to a receiver. The main cause of the misunderstanding was all the commotion in the ramp where all aircrafts are park as we h ave many people assigned to a plane. Neither one of us took the time to stop and listen to each other which created difficulties to the loading of the aircraft. I was promoted to lead loader from just coordination of loading since I was the last person to be promoted then, discovered that I was expected to keep working on the weekends so other team could schedule off. 2.What seemed to be the main causes of the misunderstandings? The main cause of the misunderstanding was management communication was not clear to me since before I had asked for the weekends off to be with my family even dough I was being promoted. It took me more talks with HR and upper management to resolve this issue. The problem could have been avoided if manager could have been more clearer and explain why he wanted me to work on the weekends this could have avoided me to talk to other upper managers
